Shipping prices: We charge actual shipping based on the weight of your package. Your shipping price will be calculated upon checkout.  Please note that if you choose to ship via USPS, we are not responsible for your package once it has been mailed unless you choose to purchase Insurance, which is listed as a product in our store.

Shipping timeframes: All in-stock orders will be shipped in 24 to 48 business hours. We will note otherwise for out-of-stock items.

Shipping methods: For our free shipping (sometimes offered as a special promotion), we use whatever service is cheapest for us. We typically choose either USPS or Federal Express, although we may occasionally use UPS or DHL/Airborne. If you would like your items shipped via a certain service, please choose the appropriate service upon checkout. However, free shipping will not apply if you choose an alternate shipping method besides the cheapest one given. We can give you a discount for the difference in price, however. You will initially be required to pay full price for shipping in these circumstances, and we will issue you a refund for the amount you would have received through our free shipping discount. Please note that you would like to take advantage of this shipping upgrade offer in the "comments" section at checkout. Calculated shipping amounts and timeframes from the aforementioned services will be displayed upon checkout.

If you have special shipping requests, we can probably accomodate that. Just let us know in either the customer comments at checkout or email us. If your special shipping request accrues an additional charge above what you paid at checkout, we will issue you a PayPal invoice for the balance. Alternately, if your shipment ends up being cheaper than what you paid, we will issue you a PayPal refund for the amount overpaid.

Please note that if you are ordering a small item, your package will most likely be sent via USPS Parcel Post. Shipping timeframes utilizing this service are typically longer than your standard First Class Mail timeframes. Please also note that unless you choose to pay for insurance (a charge of $1.50) for your package, we are not responsible for packages once we drop them off at the Post Office. Opting to pay for the $1.50 insurance coverage on your package is an easy and economical way to ensure that the Postal Service does not lose your package and you do not lose out on your purchase! We highly recommend adding this option to your cart before checkout!

Live outside the US? We're sorry, but we're only able to accept orders for shipment in the US at this time.

A note about our shipping materials: We may be using cornstarch peanuts (static-free organic cornstarch, decomposes in water leaving no toxic waste), kraft paper, bubble wrap, and cardboard boxes for packaging your order. We also try to recycle whatever shipping materials we may have on hand for your order. I accept old boxes from other families to facilitate this practice, so don't be surprised if your order is shipped in something as obscure as a "No Name Steaks" box! We also may re-use the packaging materials we receive from our vendors. If you would prefer that any of these items mentioned are not used for packaging your order, please let me know!

Shipping surcharges: Larger items, such as mattresses, have a shipping surcharge attached to their price. That surcharge will be detailed in the product's description, and it will be added to the price of the product at checkout. These surcharges typically apply to oversize or drop-shipped items.
